for loop
A statement provided in many programming languages, including ECMAScript, for describing a computation consisting of some initialization followed by a loop that repeats as long as some condition is true with an incrementing operation at the end of each repetition. Often used for loops controlled by a counter whose value is increased every time the loop is executed.
The glossary contains nearly 700 terms. Except for some common mis-spellings and Americanisms, definitions are only returned if they match the term you entered exactly. If you cannot find a definition for a term you expect to be in the glossary, try consulting the full list of terms.
