non-zero winding number rule

In vector graphics, a rule for determining whether a point lies inside or outside a path, by determining whether the number of times the path crosses a line drawn from the point from left to right is equal to the number of times it crosses it from right to left. If so, the point is outside, if not it is inside. See also even–odd rule.

The glossary contains nearly 700 terms. Except for some common mis-spellings and Americanisms, definitions are only returned if they match the term you entered exactly. If you cannot find a definition for a term you expect to be in the glossary, try consulting the full list of terms.
