This file contains the detail from a single video frame made of interlaced fields, shown in Figure 6.3. If you open it and zoom in you will be able to see the "combing" effect more clearly. Try applying a deinterlacing filter to see how effectively it removes the combing.
- The three embedded video clips below show how the transitions and effects illustrated in Figures 6.15, 6.17 and 6.18 actually appear when they are played. They have been re-sized and encoded as Flash Video using On2 VP6, so the picture quality does not reflect that of the original film from which they are taken.
